How to choose the right business name
A good name is easy to say, easy to spell, and tells people what you do or where you are.
Five quick tests:
- Say it out loud. Can a customer repeat it after hearing it once over the phone?
- Spell it. Could someone type it into search without help? Avoid odd spellings ("Kwik", "4U").
- Make it specific. "Osu Phone Hub" says more than "Blessed Ventures".
- Check it's free. Search Masio, Instagram and Google. If you'll register the business, check availability with the Office of the Registrar of Companies.
- Leave room to grow. If you sell phones now but plan to add laptops, "Osu Phone Hub" may become "Osu Tech Hub".
