Who operates Masio
Masio is operated by Kay52Plus Holdings. In this policy, “Masio,” “we,” and “us” refer to Kay52Plus Holdings and the Masio marketplace. Privacy questions can be sent to hello@masiomarket.com.
Information we collect
- Account and profile data: name, email address, phone number, user ID, profile photo, authentication provider, role, account status, and security/session information.
- Marketplace content: listings, descriptions, prices, categories, listing photos, seller details, reviews, reports, offers, and support requests.
- Activity and communications: searches, saved searches, favourites, listing views, messages, notification preferences, and interactions with buyers and sellers.
- Location: a location you choose for a listing or search, and approximate or precise device location when you expressly allow location access.
- Payments and financial activity: payment method type and status, provider references, payment and promotion history, wallet activity, top-up and withdrawal requests. Payment providers process sensitive card or mobile-money credentials; Masio receives transaction status and references needed to provide the service.
- Device and technical data: app version, device session identifiers, push-notification tokens, IP address, browser or device information, cookie choices, diagnostics, and security events.
On Android, Masio uses the system photo picker for photos you choose. It does not request broad access to your photo library. Camera, location, and notification access are requested only when the related feature needs them, and can be changed in device settings.
How we use information
- create and secure accounts and keep users signed in;
- publish listings and connect buyers with sellers;
- provide messages, offers, favourites, search, alerts, and support;
- process and reconcile permitted marketplace payments;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe content, and policy violations;
- measure reliability and improve marketplace features; and
- meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and dispute obligations.
Service providers and sharing
We share only the information needed for the relevant purpose with vendors that help run Masio. These include Firebase services for authentication, notifications, and supporting app infrastructure; hosting, storage, email, analytics, and security providers; and payment providers such as Paystack and participating mobile-money or banking channels for permitted transactions.
Listing and seller information you publish is visible to marketplace users. Messages and contact details are shared with the people you choose to interact with according to your settings. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or in connection with a properly managed business transfer.
Security, retention, and deletion
Masio uses access controls, encrypted network connections, provider security controls, and monitoring intended to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only while it is needed for the purposes described above. When an account is deleted, profile data and active marketplace content are deleted or de-identified. Some records may be retained for longer when required for fraud prevention, safety, disputes, payments, accounting, or legal obligations. Access to retained records is limited to those purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can update account details and privacy, location, and notification choices in Masio. You can request an account export or deletion from the app. You can also request deletion without signing in at the public account-deletion page. We may verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Masio or legal requirements change. We will publish the new date here and provide additional notice when an important change requires it.
